| Objectives | | | - Identify from time to
time through survey , the Health, Social, Language, Housing, Transport, Disability, Literary, and Educational needs of the
members and plan, and execute projects to meet the identified needs of senior citizens of the Tamil community in particular
and others in general, in the region of peel.
- Work
with other similar ethnic organizations in coordinating activities that provide for the smooth integration and adaptation
to the Canadian way of life.
- Evaluate the common
social and health problems of the seniors and to explore ways and means of finding solutions to their problems through professional expertise
and conducting seminars, volunteer services and counseling.
- Create opportunities for integration and information-sharing in order to reduce isolation and develop a sense
of communal togetherness.
- Study and assess
the immediate and long term needs of the senior Tamils in particular and explore ways and means of meeting those needs.
- Establish and maintain a recreation cum cultural
center and a community home.
The objectives will
be carried out on an exclusively charitable basis. |
